What we do

Our primary role is to disseminate employment related information; provide workplace skills and competencies and help Dalit youth to find employment in government, private sector and development agencies. The other specific objectives of the DEED are as follows:

    •    Create and maintain roster of educated Dalit youths in Nepal
    •    Help Dalit youth to enhance their professional skills and competencies
    •    Provide appropriate database of Dalit human resources to potential employers in government, private sector and         
         development agencies
    •    Lobby with the government, private sector and development sector for inclusive recruitment of Dalit
    •    policy influence on Dalits’ employment

In addition, DEED also offers soft skill trainings which the universities seem to be neglecting such as business communication, networking, computer essentials and administrative skills etc.
